Momenteel verken ik een samengaan van abstracte en figuratieve kunst. Waar ik naar op zoek ben is het weergeven van de dynamiek in menselijke raelaties, vooral de verbinding tussen mensen. Iets wat ik altijd, maar zeker nu, belangrijk vind.

Ik begin met een volledig abstract werk, waarin in kleuren, textuur en collages in balans probeer te brengen. Als dat naar tevredenheid is, ga ik in het abstracte werk figuren zoeken. 
Deze haal ik uit het werk naar voren, maar zo dat de abstractie bewaard blijft en er een verbinding zichtbaar wordt,

Waar ik naar op zoek ben is verrassingen, voor mij en de kijker. Emotie, ruimte om te reflecteren, het schilderij aan te willen raken, of heel dichtbij mooie details te vinden.             Elke keer weer iets anders ontdekken.

At this moment I am exploring the unity of abstraction and figurative art. What I am looking for is the representation of the dynamics in human relationships, especially the connection between people. Something that has my interest always, but especially in these times.

I start with a completely abstract work, in which I try to balance paint, texture, collage and colors. When I am satisfied, I start looking for my figures. I bring then to the foreground, but in such a way that the abstraction still remains and a connection becomes visible.

What I am looking for is surprises, for me and for the spectator. Emotions, room to reflect and wonder, wanting to touch the painting and finding beautiful details. Discovering something different every time.
